This place was amazing. Service was great. When you walk in you order your food, take a number, then someone puts you at a table. We had the meatballs, Cesar salad, and chicken bacon ranch pizza which was delicious. I had a drink the thyme spritz I think it was called, that was great too. Overall great food, great atmosphere, and great drinks. Very retro and new inside. Would definitely come back .

In town visiting family and had them all gather here. Lots of room, even on a weekend. Pizza was good. Staff was friendly. Place was clean. Pizza was good - kind of reminds me of a Mod pizza that we have out here in Arizona. Would return!

We were in for a bowling tournament and Old Scratch was right down the road. We arrived on time because after we sat down people starting lining up. Pizza came out fast and hot. Everything was wonderful. They don't skimp on the toppings either. Wish you were closer to where we live so I can try more pies. If I'm ever in the area again. We will def be back.

We have been to the Centerville location but this was our first time at the Dayton Old Scratch and it was hopping! When we first walked in, we didn't see any tables but the manager greeted us as we stood in line to order, asked how many in our party, pointed to the table we should take, then went over and cleaned it off himself. Throughout the evening, he was helping out with whatever was needed and greeting customers. We ordered our pizzas and they came out hot and delicious a little while later. We enjoyed our cocktails as well.

The venue gave like a clean 2000's pizza place next to a bowling /rollerskating rink vibe. Their custom ovens looked impressive. I also loved that their staff was so kind and courteous. The pizza was delectable. I personally loved the Prosciutto Arugula pizza. It was savory and the thin crust was perfectly cooked. My friend likes the Angry Beekeeper Pizza. It contains honey. Pizza Math: A=r² 9 inch pizza = 63.62 square inches 12 inch pizza = 113.10 square inches * Two 9-inch pizzas: 2(63.62)=127.24 square inches * One 12-inch pizza: 1(113.10)=113.10 square inches Cost per square inch: * Two 9-inch pizzas: 127.24/19.986.37 square inches per dollar * One 12-inch pizza: 113.10/157.54 square inches per dollar Conclusion: The bigger pizza gets you more pizza per square inch. So, order the bigger pizza.

My friends and I were attending an event at the Dayton Convention Center. Old Scratch Pizza & Beer is nearby that location. The restaurant has a counter to order food. After you order food your order is delivered to your table. There also is a bar for alcoholic drinks. I opted for the Lunch Special with Margherita Pizza and a Caesar Salad. The price for the lunch special was reasonable. The salad was first delivered. The dressing was good and the ingredients were fresh. The pizza arrived a few minutes after the salad it was piping hot and perfectly cooked on wood fired oven. I will definitely visit this restaurant again if I am in the area.

My first time ordering from Old Scratch Pizza. I ordered the Dayton Pizza and added jalapeños and had it uncut. My plan was to refrigerate it and pop it in my oven for later and it was the best pizza I've had in Dayton since I've moved here and I love all the Dayton spots but Old Scratch was the best so far. I've ordered Sally's Apizza (New Haven, CT) numerous times via Goldbelly delivery service and this blew it out of the water.

I've really grown to love Old Scratch through the years. The restaurant is always clean and well maintained. I love the openness of the restaurant and the in/out door eating space. I really appreciate the vegan pizza options and the gluten-free options. The vegan Mr. Scratch is my favorite (without the chili's). It's always well cooked and I never have issues with my gluten or dairy allergy. My kids and husband also really enjoy Old Scratch as well. The food is well worth the price. It's always fresh and good, quality ingredients. Service is great as well.

We came to Dayton for a weekend trip from Pittsburgh, just to check it out! As is our norm when we travel to new places, we always like to try a well rated pizza joint in town. Old scratch did not disappoint. The service was very fast and the pizza was divine. Lots of people in the restaurant that night and it took some effort to find a parking spot and a place to sit, but we were undeterred--just means it must be good and we were in no big hurry! We got the angry bee keeper and a margherita to share between my husband and I and our two toddlers. It was enough for all of us and we loved both pies. The angry beekeeper was our favorite, as it was something more novel, but we enjoyed them both. If we lived in the area I'm sure this would be a place that we would frequent.

Came as part of my 5,700 mile 30 city food tour research. Really enjoyed the counter service and lunch value. Ordered the angry beekeeper which had tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil, spicy salami, and house made hot honey. The pizza was very tasty. Enjoyed the crust and the toppings. The hot honey leaned sweet so I asked for Calabrian chili oil to balance for some heat. The service felt a bit slow and disjointed searching for numbers on tables. Otherwise a positive experience and a tasty pie
